Soft light filtered through both textiles and tactile, warm surfaces welcomes occupants into a home designed for an ambience of tranquillity. In this two-bedroom apartment in Novi Sad, in Serbia, Divna Design has created a refined interpretation of contemporary living, where aesthetics are balanced with emotion, and functionality becomes an experience.

At the heart of the living area, the kitchen unfolds as a central element that both organises and connects the space. The bespoke island, featuring an integrated pop-up extractor, extends towards the dining table in a fluid transition that dissolves the boundaries between cooking, socialising and living. Beyond its visual appeal, it also represents a long-term investment, designed so that both its form and function remain relevant over time. This continuity transforms a ‘working’ element into a social setting that is both intimate and open.

Aurora Linen Cream, ashade from the HIMACS Aurora & Marmo collection, defines the island, wall cladding and worktop with a subtle and enveloping presence. Its softly textured cream tones evoke the natural character of handwoven linen, bringing warmth that interacts harmoniously with wood and other materials throughout the space. This visual language extends to the TV unit and reappears in the bathroom, forming a cohesive connection between the different areas.

The seamless HIMACS surface allows volumes to be read with clarity, while its subtle interaction with light enhances textures and deepens the atmosphere. Designed for both kitchen and bathroom applications, this solid surface material also stands out for its durability and ease of maintenance. When design is intentional and materials are timeless, spaces do not age, they evolve. Its versatility and elegance make it an ideal choice for contemporary interiors seeking a balance between design and functionality.

Lighting, conceived in layered compositions, complements the architecture and enhances its qualities, shaping the space with softness and precision. In this dialogue between light and material, HIMACS introduces a narrative thread that guides spatial perception and reinforces the overall coherence.
