Combining nautical performance, exceptional craftsmanship and bespoke customisation, Privilège catamarans maximise the benefits of HIMACS in the kitchens and bathrooms of their premium models. This solid surface material meets the specific demands of life at sea while offering the design freedom and refined aesthetic quality expected in the world of luxury yachting.

Founded by Philippe Jeantot, solo sailor and creator of the Vendée Globe, Privilège Marine was born from the vision of family cruising meeting the demands of long-distance sailing, with a clear commitment to quality and innovation.

Designed for both extended ocean passages and everyday life afloat, the kitchen and bathroom areas in particular have specific demands, as they must combine aesthetics, comfort, hygiene and ease-of-maintenance with resistance to the challenges of the marine environment. It is in this context that HIMACS finds its natural place aboard Privilège catamarans.

A promise of premium materials

For a leading shipyard, quality represents much more than a label. Every detail receives careful attention, and the choice of materials shapes both the onboard experience and the yacht’s overall character. In harmony with fine wood finishes, HIMACS brings both natural elegance and the required robustness to meet the unique challenges of a marine environment.

Thanks to its versatility and many other distinctive properties, HIMACS is particularly well suited to the nautical sector, offering outstanding resistance to wear, weathering, fire and UV exposure, while its non-porous surface makes it totally waterproof and exceptionally easy to clean.

Capable of being thermoformed in three dimensions, HIMACS allows for the creation of bespoke elements with gentle, organic curves that are ideal for the interior architecture of catamarans, where every centimetre counts and flowing forms contribute to ergonomics and a sense of ease onboard. The absence of visible joints creates smooth, uniform finishes that help limit the accumulation of dirt and microorganisms. This seamless continuity is especially valued in living spaces where hygiene, easy care and everyday comfort are essential.

Beyond its technical performance, HIMACS also contributes to healthier indoor environments. Its completely homogeneous composition, free from VOC emissions, formaldehyde, silica and nanoparticles – combined with Indoor Air Comfort Gold certification –  makes it particularly suited to enclosed living spaces where indoor air quality is a priority.

Spaces designed to travel through time

In kitchens as well as bathrooms, HIMACS responds to the specific demands of life at sea by combining both durability and flexibility. As well as fluid, bespoke furnishing elements, extra touches such safety edges and anti-slip details can be seamlessly added to further enhance wellbeing and security during navigation.

Available in a wide palette of colours and grained or veined effects, HIMACS offers extensive customisation possibilities, allowing interiors to reflect both the character of the yacht and the personality of its owners. Robust, repairable and with an inherent beauty, the material was designed to endure, looking as elegant after long voyages as on the day of the champagne launch!

Whether for coastal cruising or a round-the-world adventures, every Privilège catamaran is designed to be enjoyed by its owners for many years to come. By offering such timeless, premium quality, HIMACS complements  this philosophy of sailing into the sunset in lasting style.
